This is a range of high quality tungsten carbide tipped saw
blades which will produce outstanding results on circular sawbenches
and mitre saws. As with all CMT products these blades are made
to the highest standards of design and manufacture with only
the best quality materials being used throughout.
They are offered in six different types, coarse tooth pitch for
ripping, medium for general purpose work, fine and extra fine
for precise and accurate crosscutting, trapezoidal or triple
chip for clean cutting of plywood and a 40° alternate bevel
design for the ultimate finish on faced boards. The correct choice
of blade for a particular job is important if best results are
to be achieved and we are confident that the range offered here
should be sufficient to cover all sawing applications, from rough
timber preparation to finish cutting of veneered boards.
All blades are provided with a 30mm diameter mounting hole plus
provision for two different pin hole arrangements where required.
We stock a range of spacers to adapt the blade bore to diameters
less than 30mm. Please request the correct spacer when ordering.

A range of coarse pitch blades suitable for rip cutting (with
the grain) on saw benches only. The large gullet between
the teeth accepts larger chips and thus permits higher feed
rates. Laser cut expansion slots prevent distortion when
hot. For use where feed speed is more important than quality
of cut.

Alternate straight and trapezoidal, or
double chamfered, teeth with a fine pitch make this the preferred
blade for plywood, particle board and melamine-faced board on both
sawbenches and mitre saws. The chamfered teeth cut out the centre
of the groove and the flat top teeth follow behind to clear out the
sides of the groove.

This is the blade for the ultimate fine
finish on all sorts of timber. The sharply bevelled teeth cut the material
with a shearing action alternately left and right to give the best
possible finish to the work. Ideal for use on either sawbenches and
mitre saws for fine crosscutting of solid timber, plywood, faced boards
and double-sided melamine.

A
range of fine cut negative rake blades which are designed for cutting
thin hollow sections in non-ferrous
metals such as aluminium tubes and extrusions. The 6° negative
rake angle gives a good finish as well as preventing collapse of
the section. These blades also have an application on radial arm
saws where the negative rake angle can prevent the blade “climbing” over
the work.

The scoring saw is an optional fitting
on several sawbenches, particularly those designed for cutting sheet
material. The blade is fitted a short distance in front of the main
blade and cuts a shallow groove on the underside of the board, preventing
splintering on faced and veneered boards. The scoring blade shown here
is of the adjustable type and comes in two parts with a set of shims
so that the cut can be aligned exactly with that of the main blade.
The diameter of the blade is 100mm and the range of adjustment is from
2.8 to 3.6mm. The bore diameter is 20mm.

The ultimate in finish blades! CMT puts a 40° top tooth angle
on its blades to provide flawless finishing on single and
double laminates, melamine, hard and soft wood - this means
absolutely minimal chipping on double faced material! The
use of melamine and fine cut off is excellent on large mitre
saws for complex angle cuts where accuracy is a must. Use
on table or wall saws without the need of the scoring blade.
